Vlastimir Vlasta DJORDJEVIC

Before the World War I he came up with the idea to start in the art casting business and he was determined to bring that noble craft to his own country. Grandfather Vlasta was headed to Vienna where he found his first employment in one of the most famous foundry in Europe-Miller's Foundry.

Few years later he had decided that it was time to become independent so he came back to Serbia but not empty-handed. His wish was to make this art craft become rooted in Serbia so he brought with him one of the best craftsman called Sukret who then passes his knowledge on to apprentices Vasilije Vujanic and grandfather Vlasta's nephew Miodrag Mica Jeremic.

The first foundry opened in Sarajevska Street in Belgrade.
