Simeon Roksandic (1874-1943)  belongs to the oldest generation of Serbian sculptors. He is a representative of Serbian academism, attached to the beginning of development of Serbian sculpture.Among the most significant pieces are two female figures on the Simo Matavulj’s grave* 1910, and regarding the later work monuments to dr Lazar Pacu and Zivojin Misic.

Simeon Roksandic is also the author of famous fountains: “Cukur” and “The Struggle”.

He was a teacher in High school in Uzice.

In May 8, 1910 in Sombor he participated in the first  Art exhibition  in Vojvodina, under the sponsorship of  His Holiness Patriarch  Lukijan. The exhibit was opened in County mansion by archpriest Mitrofan Sevic. 23 sculptures were exhibited by three sculptors Djordje Jovanovic Jovan Konjarek Simeon Roksandic.18 other artists also presented more than 90 pieces: Beta i Rista Vukanović, Borivoje Stevanović, Ljubomir Ivanović, Marko Murat, Petar Ubavkić, Natalija Cvetković, Vasa Eškićević, Paja Jovanović, Josif Lalić, Petar Poček, jeromonah Rafailo Momčilović, Uroš Predić, Jovan Kamenski, Stevan Aleksić, Moša Šoamović, Bora Radenković i Ljubica Filipović
